Yard flow management

OPTYFL

Type: AutoStow parameter

Description: Determines the yard flow pattern, which is the order in which AutoStow should pull containers from the stacks in the yard. AutoStow will consider containers that deviate from the desired flow pattern but these will incur the PENFLO penalty if chosen.

Values: 0: stack-wise, 1: tier-wise, 2: peel-off, 3: clear-ground slots (straddle only)

Stack-wise: Containers are sequenced in stack formation, vertical piles of containers, usually from one end of the yard section. This pattern supports roadside definition.

Tier-wise: Containers are sequenced in tier formation feeding the vessel in layers from a section. This pattern also supports roadside definition.

Peel-off: The peel-off flow pattern indicates that AutoStow can pull any container that does not require a spreader lift to exit the section. This flow pattern considers only the current section. It does not consider containers placed in neighboring sections.  This flow pattern provides increased flexibility as AutoStow can pick any container from the row for which the CHE does not have to lift the target container over another without penalty.

Clear-ground slots (straddle only): This flow pattern has no preference in which stack it starts, however once a stack is started, AutoStow will prefer to pull all containers from that stack until vacant ground space is created.
